So you’ve taken the plunge…

After thinking long and hard about the options for a new computer, you have gone and gotten yourself a Mac.  By doing this you have paid quite a bit more money than you likely would have on a PC.  And you’re probably wondering why?

It feels like not too long ago that I was faced with the decision you just made.  I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to do all of the things that I was used to doing on a PC and I was also worried about compatibility issues for things like word processing and spreadsheets.

The reason I went with Apple was that if I wanted (more like needed) to run Windows I could do it on a Mac.  I can’t run Mac OS X on a PC.  That, and their computers look 100x better than PC’s and thus I do by association (I bought a 15″ Macbook Pro). As it turns out, I rarely ever need to run windows with the exception of a few software applications which are not likely used by the wider variety of the population.

You can run all of the programs to do all of things you would normally do on a Windows PC on a Mac.  The only difference is that with a Mac the applications are stylish and fun to use.  They also make sense and have many features that help you enhance your experience and the experience of the end user if you are making presentations or reports.  Not only is everything more simple, it is more functional.

Maybe you just purchased a Mac and don’t know the first thing to do.  Follow our tutorials of first hand experience on getting the most out of your new machine.  There will obviously be some bumps.  I remember the first time I installed an application.  I was worried I was doing something wrong because there was no way it could be that simple.  Turns out it is that simple as you will see in the tutorial.

So sit back and flip through the different categories and you will be up and running like a power Mac user in no time flat.

Once you go Mac, you never go back.

Enjoy!
